It can be used in loud situations where the volume is as high as 145dB, thanks to a switchable pad on the mic that will lower the volume -10dB before it arrives at the interface. If you need to place the Perception 200 close to a bass-heavy singer or instrument, the mic has a low-frequency roll-off switch. It lowers the volume 12 dB-per-octave beginning at 300Hz to minimize boominess.

It comes with a full-size studio shockmount that eliminates mic stand vibration from being picked up on the recording.

It includes a hardshell road case to protect the mic from damage.
